"DAD" mugs and "MOM" plaques that were carefully selected with hard earned money and bought from Santa's Workshop at school!

That silent hush that comes from knowing Santa has indeed been here to visit!!
The hush that falls right before the screams of elation!
or.....
a genuine smile when you get that remote controlled Lambo you have been begging for.
or.......
the "cool look" when you think you are much too old to smile for the camera, but want to giggle on the inside..
or.....
experiencing that brief moment when you realize you have your own jewelry box and it is filled to the brim with costume jewelry. Oh the possibilities of this moment are endless.
or..........
that one picture of mom who is over tired and also overjoyed that this picture will forever be in our minds. (This mom loves getting pictures taken in her Enterprise shirt with no makeup).
But.......
Christmas is all about
Riding in your pajamas just to try out your new electric scooter.
Realizing for a moment the "awesomeness" of living in Mesquite and even though our white Christmas is non existent the fact that it's warm outside even though it is barely after 7am is almost comparable.
it's about that tired fuzz the parents feel all day as they lay on the couch and watch Barbies ride the Christmas train round and round.
Christmas for me is stopping to realize that I have my own little family and it's full of love and laughter and lots of happy smiles.
We love the fact that we can go to Lara's house for Christmas Afternoon and share the magic of Christmas with them as well.
AND.....
even when you think the surprises have stopped coming Nana shows up and brings more.
And we love when Nana and Grandpa come to town..
What would Christmas be without family?
I am so thankful I don't have to answer that!
