FOOTBALL!

From August to November we travel the southern parts of Utah and Northern parts of Nevada playing football.  

Looking back to when football started in 3rd grade I was completely aggravated about the fact that my Saturdays were spent traveling to and fro from football games.  I would have to admit now that it has become a family affair and even tonight as the BMan and I sat looking at pictures we decided we missed football.  

This season was a success and our little 5th grade Mesquite team won the Championship.  I cried like a baby and it was so fun to see the reaction of the kids who played their  hearts out.  

Saturdays + Cute kiddos + Family + Player's families = A lot of fun!

Jake these are some of the things I hope you learn from playing the game of football.

1. We hope it teaches you that unity is important and you must work together as a team.

2.  When you are  disappointed (and you will be) learn from it and try harder.

3.  Hustle and work hard not just in sports but in life!  

Go number 13!

4.  Always learn that it is best to control your temper.

Friends and people will always be more important than football and being able to control your actions and reactions will make you a better person.

5.  After Hard Work the payoff is even better!

You worked hard Jake and we are so proud of you.

6.  A team sport teaches you to be a good friend.  Jake we are so glad you have such great friends.

(We feel fortunate that you will get to experience team work with this group for a very long time)

7.  You were a cheerleader on the field for all your teammates and were proud of everyone's accomplishments.  Never forget to let people shine and let them know you appreciate their efforts.
